About

BYARCHITECTURE is an architecture practice based in Seoul that explores contemporary architecture from a perspective rooted in the locality. Its name, 'by architecture', embodies an attitude of looking at the city through the lens of architecture, viewing architecture not as a commercial object, but as a form of urban and ecological practice grounded in its local context. Through projects, they seek to engage deeply with the culture, materials, and architectural conventions of each place. By continuously observing how built spaces are used and operated, the collective explores practical approaches to contemporary architectural practice.
